What a pre-approval is
A pre-approval is a lender's written estimate of how much you could borrow, based on a review of your income, assets, and credit. It's not a final loan commitment, but it shows sellers you're a serious buyer.
What you'll typically need
Expect to share a government ID, proof of income like pay stubs or tax returns, and recent bank statements. Self-employed buyers may need a bit more. I'll give you a clear list before you start.
Why it matters before you shop
Knowing your budget up front keeps you from falling for a home you can't afford, and it lets you move quickly when you find the right one.
What happens next
Once you're pre-approved, we keep in touch while you shop. When you find a home, I update your numbers for that property and take you through the rest of the process.
General information only. Eligibility, terms, and requirements vary by lender and borrower, and not everyone will qualify. This is not a commitment to lend.
