It starts with your questions
Most mornings begin with messages from people who are in the middle of something big. A buyer wants to know if a document is still needed. A homeowner is wondering whether now is a good time to look at their options. I answer those first, because a question left sitting overnight can turn into stress.
Then comes the file work
A big part of my day is reading. I review income documents, bank statements, credit, and property details to make sure the story of each file is clear and consistent. If something looks off or unclear, I would rather catch it early and ask you about it than have it surface later during underwriting.
Good files are built from small details:
- Names and addresses that match across documents
- Income that is documented the way the loan program requires
- Large deposits that are explained and sourced
- A property that fits the guidelines of the loan
Comparing options is the heart of it
As a broker, I can look at more than one lender and more than one loan program for the same borrower. That means a lot of my time goes to comparing: which program fits your goals, which structure makes sense for your plans, and what trade-offs come with each choice. There is rarely one perfect answer, so I try to lay out the choices honestly and let you decide.
Plenty of the job is coordination
Your loan touches many people. Real estate agents, title and escrow officers, appraisers, underwriters, and processors all play a part, and they all work on their own timelines. I spend a lot of time keeping everyone moving in the same direction and making sure nothing falls through the cracks as a closing date gets closer.
Not every day is smooth
I will be straight with you: some days are hard. A missing document, a delayed appraisal, or a last-minute question from underwriting can change the plan. The job is less about having a perfect day and more about solving the next problem calmly, and telling you what is happening while I do it.
Why this matters for you
You should never have to wonder where your loan stands. When you work with me, I want you to know what is happening, what is needed from you, and what comes next. If you ever feel in the dark during the process, tell me. That is my cue to do a better job.
If you are curious about your own situation, reach out and we can talk it through. There is no pressure, just a clear conversation about where you are and what could come next.
General information only. Eligibility, terms, and requirements vary by lender and borrower, and not everyone will qualify. This is not a commitment to lend.
